Estates consultancy Sewell Advisory opens new North East office
Estates consultancy Sewell Advisory is opening a new office in the North East, following a year of new clients, contract wins and big projects.
The company, which also has offices in East Yorkshire, Leeds, Nottingham and Manchester, will be moving its current Stockton base, where it has been for over 14 years, to a larger premises. This reflects Sewell Advisory’s in-year team expansion, resulting from recruitment to service an increase in opportunities in the North East.
The company has taken offices in Progress House on Teesside Business Park, next to the landmark Infinity Bridge. The new offices will house a multidisciplinary team of strategic property advisors, project managers and public sector estates specialists, who help tackle estates and service challenges for clients in the health, social care, education and local government sectors.
The first task of the new office was to play host to Business Insider’s North East Property Leaders Forum, where public sector estates professionals from across the Tees Valley gathered to discuss the NHS’s new plan to create neighbourhood health centres across the country.
Chief Executive Emma Bolton said that the new offices reflected a year of change and growth for the company.
“In January we merged our two existing estates consultancies to create Sewell Advisory, and since then we haven’t looked back. We’ve taken on new clients and bigger projects, recruited several new graduates and are on the look out for more, and have been nominated for national awards. The move to new, larger premises in Stockton will help us further strengthen our workforce and presence in the North East, and enable us to better support our clients in the area.”
Sewell Advisory is part of the wider Sewell Group, a diverse group of businesses spanning construction, facilities management, digital and data, consultancy and retail. As part of the group, it is part employee-owned, and last year was named in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work list.
Recent projects the company has worked on in the North East include the design and management of the construction of a new medical centre near Darlington, property reviews for NHS trusts around the Tees Valley, and estates advice for North East Ambulance Service.
The offices in Progress House are owned by Elite Energy, a family-run business who similarly work closely with the public sector.
Rhys Davies of Elite Energy said:
“We are delighted to welcome Sewell Advisory to our Stockton premises. This reflects the continued demand for high-quality, well-located commercial space in the Tees Valley region and combines high-quality accommodation with outstanding views of the River Tees and Infinity Bridge.”
